Port Blair, March 17: Following the announcement of General Election to Lok Sabha-2024, the Model Code of Conduct has become operational. The Enforcement Agencies are keeping a strict vigil on illegal activities in this UT.

Port Blair, March 17: As part of the General Election-2024, the SVEEP Team of DEO (SA) Office organized a Blood Donation Camp at Junglighat Khaitan Mandapam today. The Blood Donation Camp form part of the series of activities carried by SVEEP team to create voter education and awareness among the masses to participate in the democratic process by exercising their franchise on the day of Polling i.e April 19, 2024, the day on which Election will be held in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency as per the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Mayabunder, March 17: The general public have been informed that with a view to conduct free and fair General Elections to Lok Sabha, all the residents of North & Middle Andaman District have been appealed to refrain from taking any bribe and in case, anybody offers any bribe or is having knowledge about the bribe or case of threat/intimidation of electors, may inform on the following Landline Numbers of Election Control Rooms set up in all the Tehsils and District HQ, which are made operational to receive complaints and act strictly accordingly:
